Through lived experience, clinical insight, and systemic analysis, our panel will explore how coercive control can have a cumulative and devastating impact on individuals. It often begins subtly but gradually damages a person’s mental health, strips away their ability to make autonomous choices, and undermines their overall sense of safety. These forms of abuse are frequently overlooked or misunderstood due to their non-physical nature. This session will also examine how digital platforms and community-based initiatives can raise awareness, drive systemic change, and provide practical support for those affected.

With insights from leading voices across the country, this session offers practical strategies, real-world stories, and innovative approaches to build safer, more informed communities where coercive control is recognised, challenged, and prevented.
